Molde – Varden Viewpoint Shuttle

Enjoy the stunning panoramic view over Molde with our comfortable Varden Shuttle. In just 15 minutes, the shuttle takes you from the harbour up to 407 metres above sea level to Molde’s local mountain, Varden.

At the top, you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular view of Molde, the Romsdalsfjord and the Romsdal Alps with their 222 peaks. Varden is a true highlight and must-see during any visit to Molde.

Moldemarka – Nature Experience

Surrounding the viewpoint is Moldemarka, the locals’ favourite hiking and skiing area – perfect for a short walk or simply enjoying the peaceful nature.

For the way back, you can choose between:

A relaxed shuttle ride back to the harbour
A walk along the approx. 4.5 km trail (about 1 hour, not guided)

Please note: The shuttle returns to the harbour after around 30 minutes at the Varden viewpoint.

Information about the meeting point:

Molde has two cruise ship berths. The pick-up point depends on where your ship docks. Please stay at the harbour – our guides will pick you up there. Short waiting times are possible.

If you are not arriving by cruise ship, we will contact you in advance to let you know the meeting point.
