Molde, fondly called the city of roses for the way they flourish in the mild climate that this town benefits from, is located on the Romsdal peninsula. It is built on a middle-ages trading post and later became the centre of textiles commerce. Modern-day Molde is the administrative centre for the region and the capital of the province of Møre and Romsdal.
